Delray Title & Abstract Company was established in 1979 by Arthur J. Algonas.  The office was originally in the old Carol Financial Plaza at 75 NE 6th Avenue, which is at the corner of Atlantic Avenue and North bound Federal Highway.  Now there, stands a whole plaza with eateries, retail shopping and office/living spaces.

Arthur began his career in the Title Insurance field in New Jersey.  While on their honeymoon in Miami, his wife, Susan and he, fell in love with Florida.  They ended up making the move to South Florida in 1977.  Escaping the cold north winters, he and his family took to the Florida lifestyle instantly.

He worked for Chelsea Title in Delray Beach and realized he wanted to open his own firm.  Delray Title & Abstract Company opened their doors on February 29th, 1979.

Through a lot of hard work, dedication and long hours, Delray Title quickly became a regular name amongst the Real Estate Community.
